Welcome to our Fashion Show 2011 BLOG! We can confirm that it is exactly 46 DAYS until SHOW DAY!!! Wow – that really isn’t very long. We just pulled priceless faces, well Cat’s was priceless so I am sure, from her laugh, that mine was too!
So, with just 46 days to go we are in full swing with the promo video being shot in 2 weeks, our photoshoot taking place in a few days and everyone on the committee running round like ‘controlled’ headless chickens! Our social lives have been reduced to our RAG FASHION SHOW COMMITTEE thread on facebook – WE LOVE IT!
What should you expect from this year’s show??? A night of pure entertainment, filled with fashion, dance, and music! Make sure you take some time to look at our busy calendar – We hope to see you at our Model Launch Party in Warehouse on Monday 31st January – guestlist for everyone at a reduced price of £4 with drinks deals and £1 of every ticket sold going to our charities. Just say our name, RAG FASHION SHOW 2011! Our Pub Quiz Night on Sunday 23rd January at Hyde Park Social Club and our Ladies Night on Tuesday 1st February and our Auction of Promises on Thursday 10th February are not to be missed.
Oh, and, don’t forget to buy roses for that special someone in the lead up to Valentine’s Day in the foyer of the union!
With such a busy calendar we mustn’t forget our reasons for putting on the show and every event leading up to it. This year we are supporting two fantastic charities: Yorkshire Cancer Centre and Action for Children. We decided to choose one local and one national charity, however, both charities do work on a local scale. More information on these charites can be found on our snazzy website along with information about the show, our sponsors, the shops involved, and our own Leeds University designers.
This year we are aiming to RAISE OVER £7,000 for our two charities! We welcome your support and hope you enjoy the lead up to the show – fashion week is just around the corner!!!
